1. Can this Lithium Ion Car Batteries be mounted in any position?
Sure. There is no limit on the installation positions of the vehicles for the Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery.
Thanks to its Excellent Stability at High Temperature and Non-Spillable design, this Lithium Iron Battery can be installed in the engine compartment, under the seat and in the trunk.
2. I heard these Rechargeable Lithium Ion Batteries were unsafe and a fire hazard. Will they blow up?
No, Lithium-ion Battery is absolutely safe.
The Lithium-ion batteries do not contain hyperactive metallic lithium, and the chemical properties of lithium-ion is much more stable than that of lithium-metal, especially the Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery, also as well known as LiFePO4 battery or LFP Battery for short.
Thanks to the thermal and chemical stability, our 12V 100Ah Deep Cycle Lithium Ion Battery comes with improved battery safety. The Puncture Test shows our LiFePO4 battery will not explode or flame, just reposefully smoke.
3. Can I use the lead acid battery charger for this Lithoum Ion battery?
No. Because the 3-stages charging process with float charging for lead acid battery is not properly for Lithoum Ion battery with a 2-stages charge profile.
The lead acid charger will NOT automatically cut off the Float charge even when the Li-ion battery is fully charged. And the float charging will constantly provides pulse current to the battery.
In the long run, this pulse current will damage the PCB/BMS of the li-ion battery. So the PCB/BMS won't be able to protect the li-ion battery when it should be.
4. What is the difference between Lead acid battery charger and Lithium ion battery charger?
The charger for lead acid battery provides CC/CV/FC 3-stages Charging, including constant current, constant voltage, and Float charge (Trickle charge).
The charger for Lithium ion battery only requires CC/CV 2-stages charging and the float charge is not necessary to the PCB of lithium ion battery.
5. How long can I store this lithium ion battery before charge it?
The attenuation rate (self-discharge rate) of lithium ion battery is as low as 1%~5% per year. You can store the battery for 5 years without extra charging.
