1. What is charge cycle (or charge/discharge cycle)?
Many people think that the life of polymer batteries is the number of times of charging, in fact, is not correct, strictly speaking should be called charging cycle. A complete charging cycle is to charge 100% of the electricity, and then discharge 100% of the electricity. The life of a lithium battery is about 300-500 full charge cycles. The correct term for the life of a lithium-ion battery should be 300-500 full charge/discharge cycles.
That is to say, suppose a battery overflowing with 100%: used 50%, charged 30%, this is not a complete cycle, a complete cycle is to charge and discharge two 100%, which is actually 40% cycle, and so on, you used 60% again charged
This is actually a 40% cycle. When you use 60% again and charge it at 40%, then you will have a 90% cycle. And so on.
Lithium-ion batteries have no memory effect, so I agree with Apple's assertion that lithium-ion batteries should be used, used some, charged some, not charged too long, and not used to exhaustion. To charge the battery, it is best to use small current to charge, generally with 0.5C-2C charging, small current irritation is small, can better maintain the battery. 3, guard against overcharging and overdischarging, the general set of charging cut-off voltage: 4.25V, discharge cut-off voltage: 3.0V or so, the cut-off voltage of the discharge, but also based on the actual situation, such as playing violent 3D, then the cut-off voltage of the discharge is best to set the cut-off voltage of 3.4V or so, below this cut-off voltage, the best set of 3.4V or so, the cut-off voltage of 3.4V or so. 3.4V or so, below this value, it is easy to cause the whole battery over-discharge due to the instantaneous over-discharge. Be wary of storing a full charge. When not in use for a long time, the lithium-ion battery should be removed and placed in a cool dry place. Never refrigerate and abstain from moisture erosion. Abstain from using it in a hot car. If stored for a long time, the battery will be charged to 40% and placed, or the voltage is saved between 3.75-3.85V.
2. Whether to open the USB charging
Today more and more devices support USB charging, I personally feel that open or not can be, or the above reasons. However, USb charging, see a friend posted that because of insufficient voltage, charging is not enough (PDA have not encountered, can be overflowing, do not understand why the 580 can not), I also encountered the same situation. From the habit, or do not want every time you plug in the USB, have to charge a little bit of electricity, it is a matter of habit, so I myself is the USB charging off. If you don't have a power supply with you, you can turn it on and charge it again, which is convenient anyway. At the same time, do not understand in the case of non-standard voltage, to the cell phone charging, the phone and the battery will not have an impact, in the event that I do not know in the end, I personally prefer to turn off the USB charging as far as possible.
3. What to do when lithium batteries are not in use
Lithium polymer battery self-discharge rate is still a little high, for insurance purposes, if not used, it is best to overflow, and then sealed in a plastic bag and stored. 1-2 months to take out and use once, that is, charging and discharging once, to maintain the activity of lithium ions. The longest do not exceed 3 months, must be taken out to charge and put once. Stored too long without use, will make the lithium ion activity decline, the battery life is affected.
4. How to charge better?
The last small proposal, the original lithium-ion battery is best not to use a miscellaneous charger to charge, use the equipment + original charger, or go to buy the original seat charger. Because miscellaneous chargers with often not standard voltage, current, the original battery is damaged. Especially that old-fashioned charger with discharge function, don't use, accidentally over-discharge, the battery is finished.
5. Lithium-ion batteries used in the environment
Lithium-ion batteries in too hot or too cold environment, the life of lithium-ion batteries also have an impact, so in the heat of the day, do not put the phone in the car or sun exposure; winter if the outside is minus 20 degrees, do not take the phone outside Xuan (long time exposure), or put in a warm pocket, with headphones (do not use bluetooth headset, that is also a lithium-ion battery).
Polymer lithium-ion batteries: charging temperature range of 0 ~ +45 ℃; discharge temperature range of -20 ~ +60 ℃; battery long-term storage environment for: temperature -20 ~ +35 ℃. Ltd. can research and develop customized batteries according to the use of the battery environment, mode and other circumstances.
